Within the E.ON group, E.ON Energy from Waste concentrates the activities in the area of waste incineration.
In this regard, E.ON Energy from Waste builds and operates waste incineration plants that convert the energy contained in waste into electricity, process steam or district heating at a high technical and ecological level.
At present, E.ON Energy from Waste operates 18 waste incineration plants with an annual capacity of approx. 4.0 million tons in entire Europe. This translates into highly reliable waste disposal.
Approx. 2,100 gigawatt hours of electricity and approx. 2,800 gigawatt hours of heat are produced in the facilities of E.ON Energy from Waste.
The generation of energy by waste incineration is an alternative to fossil energy sources like coal, oil and gas. E.ON Energy from Waste thus makes an active contribution to conserving natural resources and to climate protection.
E.ON Energy from Waste stands for technical innovation and reliability.
