Location
A custom-made plant for energy generation and waste product utilisation is built for an industrial client at the Schwedt location in the State of Brandenburg.
Plant
LEIPA Georg Leinfelder GmbH (LEIPA), one of the largest German paper manufacturers that use waste paper in their production, erected this thermal waste product disposal plant (solids boiler plant). In April 2006, E.ON Energy Projects received the order for the implementation from Kraftwerk Schwedt GmbH & Co. KG (KSC). The primary goal of the project was to ensure in the long run a cost-efficient, reliable and environmentally friendly supply of the energy required for the production facilities in Schwedt. As the core of the new plant, the planning provides for the use of a circulating fluidised bed boiler for incinerating the waste products from paper production at the plant and the supplement fuels procured externally by E.ON Energy from Waste.
