The waste incineration plant planned by E.ON Energy from Waste will take over a significant part of the supply of energy to the Wintershall site. Steam will be generated by the incineration process, which Kali & Salz will utilise.
Fuel will consist of household and commercial waste with high calorific value. In terms of efficient energy generation, the cogeneration plant working in association with the Wintershall power plant is expected to assume a leading position in Germany.
