By building and operating waste-fired power stations close to industry specifically designed to meet individual customer requirements for generation of electric power and heat, E.ON Energy from Waste is meeting the needs of both the waste and energy markets. E.ON Energy from Waste is supplementing the electric power and heat generation capacities of the E.ON Group with these local waste-fired generation plants.
 
In a cooperation between E.ON Energy Projects and E.ON Energy from Waste, new waste incineration plants intended to generate energy are being planned, developed or built at four locations in Germany. A new focal area with three plants in Brandenburg at the Großräschen, Premnitz and Schwedt sites will be established.
 
Further capacities for incineration of almost 1 million metric tones of waste are going to be available in future.
