Established in 1996, Interagem, which is based in Bielefeld, provides its clients with a high level of waste disposal reliability on the basis of thermal waste treatment.
The objective of Interargem GmbH is primarily the management of its core operational business, the thermal treatment and energy recycling of waste in both waste incineration plants MVA Bielefeld and Enertec Hamelin.
Enertec Hameln MVA Bielefeld
In the Hameln district of Afferde, Enertec Hameln operates a waste incineration plant as well as a biomass-fired power station. Every year 300,000 tonnes of waste and 100,000 of waste wood are recycled using ultramodern technology and then used for the generation of electricity and district heating. The electrical energy is supplied to the E.ON Westfalen Weser AG networks. The district heating is supplied to private and industrial customers in Hamelin. In this way Enertec Hameln is making a valuable contribution to environmentally-friendly energy provision in the region. | MVA Bielefeld operates a waste incineration plant with capacity of 420,000 tonnes per year in the Bielefeld suburb of Heepen. In a combined heat and power cycle, electricity and district heating are generated and supplied to the distribution networks of Stadtwerke Bielefeld GmbH. By producing energy from waste, fossil fuels are saved and at the same time CO2 emissions that affect the climate are reduced. Multi-stage flue gas cleaning ensures that emission values are well below the statutory limits. |
